Join us for multiple services this Holy Week! Inbox

Dear Parents/ Caregivers,

It is a joy to be able to gather in person this year for Holy Week and Easter! There are multiple opportunities for worshiping together this week. Our Maundy Thursday service will be especially interactive for families as children will be invited to join us in foot-washing/ hand-washing, coming up to a table for Communion, and singing together. We look forward to journeying through Holy Week this week and celebrating the resurrection on Easter Sunday! Remember, due to a breakfast in the Community Center, we will not have children's Sunday School this coming Easter Sunday. Here are ways you can join this week:

April 14 - Maundy Thursday Communion and foot-washing service at 6:00pm in Parker Hall. This year’s format will be new as we will gather in the round for Communion at a central table and have foot-washing on the outer parts of the room. You are welcome to take part in one or both of these holy activities. We will be centered by song and communal reflection as we prepare our hearts for the death of Christ. Note: The Wednesday night meal will move to Thursday this weekClick here for details.

April 15 - Good Friday worship at 12:15pm in the sanctuary. We will honor Good Friday with a service of worship in the sanctuary. Contemplative music for meditation will begin at 12:00pm and the solemn service of the Word will begin at 12:15pm..  Click here for details.

April 16 - Easter Vigil by the fire at 6:30pm and 7:30pm at the Colletts'. Join us for an in-person gathering around a fire as the sun sets on Holy Saturday and we keep vigil for the coming resurrection. Space is limited, so reserve your 6;30pm or 7:30pm spot.  Click here for details.

April 17 - Easter worship at 8:00am in the sanctuary
Easter breakfast at 9:00am in the Community Center. Click here for details.

Blessing of the Backpacks THIS Sunday!

Dear Belmont Parents/ Caregivers,

Your family is invited to come this Sunday at 9:15am under the tent between the community center and church for a Blessing of the Backpacks! Students should bring their backpacks and parents should remain with students so that you can learn about our plan for Sunday School and Children's Choir. Children will be presented with a backpack tag, as well as a back to school gift bag. After the program ends, you will be invited to take a boxed pastry from Barley to Rise and eat it after the blessing is over. While at the blessing, we are asking everyone who is 3 years old and older to wear a mask and remain distanced. You can register for Sunday School here or register in person at the Blessing of the Backpacks.

Please contact Pastor Kate with any questions at kate@belmontumc.org.

We look forward to seeing your family this Sunday!

Cry Room is Re-opened!
If you are attending the 10:30am service, you are welcomed to use the Cry Room if needed. If you are looking at the altar, the Cry Room can be accessed through the doors directly left of the altar. Walk up the few stairs and you will walk straight into the Cry Room. There you can watch the livestream of the service, as well as utilize the changing table and toys! Also, please know that we consider children's noises in the service as part of our worship of God; however, please feel welcomed to use the Cry Room as needed. Additionally, there are rocking chairs in the back of the sanctuary that parents are welcome to use to rock children during the service. Lastly, there is a Children's library bookshelf when entering the sanctuary from the Iris Room lobby; here children can pick up books to read during the service. No check out process needed, just return the books back to the shelf after the service. We will sanitize the books regularly.
